What we collect

We only ask for information that helps you find work or hire workers safely:

• Phone number — for login, job alerts, payment confirmations and safety check-ins.
• Name and email — so employers and workers know who they are dealing with.
• Location (city/region) — to show jobs near you and help workers estimate travel.
• Ghana Card ID — only if a worker chooses to verify their identity for the trust badge.
• Business details — only if you register as an employer.
• Job history, messages and reviews — to run the marketplace, resolve disputes and build your reputation.

Why we collect it

• To verify who you are and reduce fake accounts.
• To match workers with nearby jobs that fit their skills.
• To process payments and send MoMo or bank confirmations.
• To resolve disputes if something goes wrong.
• To send you job alerts, messages and payment updates.

How long we keep it

We keep your account information while you use Work Connect Ghana. If you delete your account, we remove your profile and personal details within 30 days. We may keep anonymised job and payment records for longer to meet legal and tax requirements, but these cannot be traced back to you.

We do not sell your data

Your information is never sold to advertisers or third parties. We only share it when necessary: for example, with a payment provider to complete a transaction, or with a dispute investigator if there is a report. All partners are bound by confidentiality.

Your rights

You can update most details in your Profile at any time. To request a full copy of your data or to delete your account and records, email us at privacy@workconnectghana.com or use the Delete account option in Settings. We will respond within 14 days.

Security

We use encryption, secure servers and access controls to protect your data. No system is perfect, so please use a strong password and do not share your login details.
