Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 October 2026. We wrote this in plain language so you know exactly what happens to your information.
What we collect
We only ask for information that helps you find work or hire workers safely:
- Phone number — for login, job alerts, payment confirmations and safety check-ins.
- Name and email — so employers and workers know who they are dealing with.
- Location (city/region) — to show jobs near you and help workers estimate travel.
- Ghana Card ID — only if a worker chooses to verify their identity for the trust badge.
- Business details — only if you register as an employer.
- Job history, messages and reviews — to run the marketplace, resolve disputes and build your reputation.
Why we collect it
- To verify who you are and reduce fake accounts.
- To match workers with nearby jobs that fit their skills.
- To process payments and send MoMo or bank confirmations.
- To resolve disputes if something goes wrong.
- To send you job alerts, messages and payment updates.

How long we keep it
We keep your account information while you use Work Connect Ghana. If you delete your account, we remove your profile and personal details within 30 days. We may keep anonymised job and payment records for longer to meet legal and tax requirements, but these cannot be traced back to you.
We do not sell your data
Your information is never sold to advertisers or third parties. We only share it when necessary: for example, with a payment provider to complete a transaction, or with a dispute investigator if there is a report. All partners are bound by confidentiality.
Your rights
You can update most details in your Profile at any time. To get a copy of your data or to delete your account and records, email us at support@workconnectghana.com or send us a WhatsApp message from the phone number on your account. We will respond within 14 days. More details: workconnectghana.com/delete-account.
Security
We use encryption, secure servers and access controls to protect your data. No system is perfect, so please use a strong password and do not share your login details.
AI Coach
If you use the AI Coach (CV builder and interview practice), the text you type, your CV details and any voice answers are sent to our AI service provider to produce your CV or feedback. We use this only to give you the result you asked for. Please do not enter information you do not want processed this way, such as ID numbers.
Who helps us run the service
We use trusted providers to run Work Connect Ghana: SMS and verification codes (Arkesel), payment processing (Paystack), email (Resend) and website hosting. They only receive the information needed to do their job and may not use it for their own purposes.
Age
Work Connect Ghana is for people aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
The Android app
The Work Connect Ghana Android app shows the same service as our website and handles your information in the same way as described on this page. The app may ask for permission to use your location (to show jobs near you) and your microphone (for AI Coach voice answers). You can say no and still use the rest of the app.
